In admiration, we say goodbye and aufwiedersehen to Manfred Roy Helmuht Lukat who kept his outlook on life and the beauty of living in the Rockies until his untimely demise. His passion for guiding was a window on Canada for many a tourist whom he hosted. He kept that window open while undergoing treatments for cancer. His struggles in finding peace and in overcoming the incursions of illness were way markers for his family, friends and loved ones.
His brothers, Raymond and Andrew are left with the memory of his unconventional approach to life. His mother, Olga, now faces a void in her life. And through his intimate relationship with Maya Wojnarowska, we were all reminded about the healing powers of Love.
